Estate Liquidation
Some of us are of the generation with aging parents. We know the loss of a parent, or
even their downsizing to a smaller home, can be difficult. We have already covered
downsizing, however, in the former event sometimes we are trying to deal with these
matters over a long distance or with very limited time on our hands. This can be an
emotional and physical drain not only on us but also on our spouse and children. Here I
can offer my services in all or any of the following ways:
- Organization of papers to be given to accountants, lawyers,
financial brokers, etc.
- Organize possessions in order of items to be given away, donated,
appraised and/or auctioned and provide a list of companies to
implement the above needs
- Provide a list of contractors to make necessary repairs to a home
that will be re-sold
- "Stage" any home that will be for resale purposes
*During estate liquidation you, the client, will determine what possessions will given
away, donated, or sent to auction. For items not given to other family members I will
help in the implementation phase by providing a list of appraisers, auction houses,
charities, etc. If you, as the client, are located out of the area, I will be available to meet
with any of these companies on location, but any contracts and final decisions will be
between you and the companies involved directly.
